Being Prepared for Hurricanes
Join Yale's own Maria Bouffard, Director of Emergency Management, for this workshop on Being Prepared for Hurricanes. Hurricane season is upon us and will go through November 1. Although forecasters are predicting a lower than average hurricane season, it is still important to be prepared.

At this workshop we will discuss the steps you need to take to prepare yourself, your family, and your home. You will also receive information about being prepared on campus. Learn ways to help you minimize the impact of the types of losses that accompany hurricanes and other disasters. Discover the difference between watches and warnings, and learn what the ”cone of probability” means.
