Electrical Safety General Awareness
Description
 This course is available upon request to all employees and students who may face a risk of electric shock while conducting their work (e.g. operate electrically powered equipment or tools). This training reviews safe work practices associated with working with electrically-powered tools and equipment as well as other general electrical safety precautions. Course topics may include: • Electrical hazards and injuries • Recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazards • Personal protective equipment

  • • Recognize, evaluate and control electrical hazards • Understand potential electrical injuries including shocks, burns, electrocutions and falls • Understand the risk of electrical fires
     
  • This training is available upon request for staff and students who may work with or near electrically energized equipment during the course of normal activities.
