Chainsaw Safety
Description
 Individuals who operate a chainsaw must be trained in the operation and maintenance of chainsaws, recognition of safety hazards, proper selection and use of required personal protective equipment, safety procedures and safe work practices. Chainsaw operators must also hold a valid certificate for First aid and CPR/AED training. A Quiz is included at the end of this course.

  • The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established standards for equipment, personal protective equipment, inspection, use and maintenance of chainsaws in the General Industry Standard, 29 CFR 1910.266 Logging Operations.
     
  • All individuals who use chainsaws.
